If you had to pick between vinyl and laminate for a mud room, kitchen and living room-which would you pick and why?
Vinyl because it’s waterproof and doesn’t expand at the tiniest bit of water… one spill not immediately picked up and dried your laminate is ruined!
I’d pick sheet vinyl that looks like tile for wet areas – kitchen, path and mud room & wood look for living areas.
First be sure whichever you choose is water proof if you plan to use it in your laundry. Second, I think it’s best to use the fewest number of flooring materials as possible for a continual affect.
Smartcore Ultra is AMAZING flooring. Its waterproof and comes with the sound reduction layer that also helps with noise. We put ours over our old flooring and didn’t need the extra layer so it was a very easy install.
LVP. I’m a huge fan. We now have it in every room of our house and have 3 dogs and 2 kids. It’s the best invention ever😂
For the price of real wood, why are you limiting yourself to vinyl or laminate? Shop around and get something good.
Luxury vinyl plank if you have kids/dogs. Waterproof and so so durable! It looks really nice too
