I just picked up some newly sprayed kitchen

DWQA QuestionsI just picked up some newly sprayed kitchen

I just picked up some newly sprayed kitchen cabinets from my friends shop who spray painted them for me 2 days ago. He wrapped them loosely in some plastic but during transport they were still tacky and now there’s several marks and plastic imprints on them.

He’s doing the upper cabinets over the next week. Any tips on how to safely transport after they sit at his shop for 2 days?

It’s Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel which I know has a long curing process but I didn’t realize they were still going to be so tacky after 2 days.

Yes, next time let them sit longer.

There is drying time and curing time.

Emerald has a 30 day cure time. Darker colors more. Shift to professional grade products like Milesi, Renner, Envirolak,Sirca, Ilva. Cure time is in hours. Not months. Join Kitchen Cabinet Painting Experts for professional advice.

Let them sit longer. SWUE doesn’t get hard enough till day 4 or 5. Thats when i really saw durability.

Don’t wrap in plastic. Make more than one trip to be safe
